THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME

Duration:39 mins 47 secs

“… THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.”
I CORINTHIANS 11:17-34

VIEWS CONCERNING COMMUNION:

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC VIEW,
TRANSUBSTANTIATION –

THE LUTHERAN VIEW,
CONSUBSTANTIATION -

RCC’S VIEW,
BREAD AND WINE/JUICE ARE EMBLEMS OR SYMBOLS OF THE REAL, LITERAL BODY OF CHRIST THAT WAS CRUCIFIED IN HISTORY AND TODAY IS IN HEAVEN AT THE FATHER’S RIGHT HAND. BUT WE BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A REAL FEEDING ON CHRIST SPIRTUALLY BY FAITH – NOT HIS PHYSICAL BODY, BUT HIS REAL SPIRITUAL PRESENCE. AND EVEN THOUGH A BELIEVER CAN NOURISH HIMSELF ANYTIME, ANYWHERE ON THE PRESENCE OF CHRIST IN HIS WORD, THERE IS A SPECIAL NOURSHING OFFERED IN GATHERING WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST, PARTAKING OF THE LORD’S TABLE AND MINISTERING TO AND BEING MINISTERED TO THROUGH THE SINGING AND PREACHING OF THE WORD OF GOD.

JOHN 6:35,”JESUS SAID, I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE; HE WHO COMES TO ME SHALL NOT HUNGER, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME SHALL NEVER THIRST.”

COMMUNION AND CORINTH:

THE LORD’S SUPPER, A CALL TO PARTICIPATION, Vv.17-22

THE LORD’S SUPPER, A CALL TO PROCLAMATION, Vv.23-26

   JEREMIAH 31:31-34;

   1.) A PROMISE TO FORGIVE SINS – MATT.26:28

   2.) A PROMISE TO WRITE THE LAW ON OUR HEARTS

   ROMANS 8:3, “FOR WHAT THE LAW COULD NOT DO, WEAK AS IT WAS THROUGH THE FLESH, GOD DID: SENDING HIS OWN SON IN THE LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH AND AS AN OFFERING FOR SIN, HE CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH,”

   3.) ALL THE COVENANT PEOPLE SHALL KNOW GOD FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST.

   CHRIST OUR PASSOVER;

Staying Connected at Riverstone

During this time, many people are feeling disconnected in so many ways, but we want to remind you that we are here for you! We know that God's Word tells us in Matthew 18:20 that Where two or more have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.

There are many ways to stay virtually connected through our various ministry opportunities here at Riverstone Community Church and we would LOVE to see and hear from you. If you are not currently in fellowship with one of our communities below, we encourage you to reach out to the leader of the ministry that best meets your needs.
