THE INVISIBLE WAR

THE INVISIBLE WAR

EPHESIANS 6:10-20

SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT THE TEXT:

   IT IS RELEVANT,

IT IS ROOTED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT,

(EXODUS 15:3; ISAIAH 11:4-5; 49:2; 52:7; 59:17)

IT RESONATES WITH THE ENTIRE BOOK OF EPHESIANS,

SPIRITUAL WARFARE IS THAT CONFLICT BEING WAGED IN THE INVISIBLE, SPIRITUAL REALM THAT IS BEING MANIFEST IN THE VISIBLE, PHYSICAL REALM.

THE SUPERNATURAL

PERSON: “SATAN” IN HEBREW MEANS “ADVERSARY”

HIS GREEK TITLE, “DIABOLOS” MEANS SLANDERER …

PROBLEM: IN OUR CULTURE EVERYONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT PROBLEMS APART FROM TALKING ABOUT EVIL, FAITH OR THE SPIRIT …

THE STRENGTH, 10

   STRONG – DUNAMIS

   STRENGTH – SOVEREIGNTY

   MIGHT – EPHESIANS 1:19-23

 THE STANDING, 11, 13, 14

SPIRITUALITY IS NOT PERCEPTION BUT CONSISTENCY …

THE SCHEMES, 11

   FALSEHOOD, EPH 4:25

   UNCONTROLLED ANGER, EPH 4:26
