On Tuesday, July 26, I read an article in a national newspaper than began with this line; "Yesterday, Dr. Tim Lahaye, died at the age of 90."  There is something intrinsically wrong with that line.  However, before I get to that inaccuracy, please allow me to simply mention an accurate assessment or two regarding, Dr. Lahaye.  He was a man of God!  He was a prominent figure in the Christian Fundamentalist movement.  He co-wrote the best selling, "Left Behind," series.  In all, sixteen novels were published between 1997 and 2007.  He was a long time leader of the Christian right.  He co-founded, "The Moral Majority."  In 1987 he co-chaired, Jack Kemp's, Presidential campaign.  He also co-founded, "The Counsel For National Policy," which was once described by ABC News as, "one the brightest lights of the hard right."  There is no doubt, Dr. Tim Lahaye, loved Jesus!  He loved souls!  Those are the accurate facts!

What is not factual, Dr. Lahaye, is not dead!  He is more alive than ever!  True, "it is appointed unto man, once to die, then after that, the judgment," (Heb. 9:27) but the soul and spirit continue to live in eternity.  Dr. Lahaye simply, "transitioned," from this wrecked, sin cursed world, into the glorious presence of our Lord in heaven!  Our body dies and will be resurrected at the rapture of the church.  However, at the moment of, "transition," the believer's spirit and soul lives!  Like time lapse photography, in the twinkling of an eye, when our Lord Jesus returns for His saints, the spirit and soul will be reunited with our body that will forever be, PERFECT!  I John 3:2 records this scene that will take place in the not so distant future; "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is."  There may be no more of a precious promise in the entire Word of God than that accurate fact!  Newspapers tell us what happened yesterday.  The Bible tells us what is going to happen tomorrow!  Oh, what a wonderful, living, eternal Savior we serve!

"Yesterday, Dr. Tim Lahaye, became more alive than he's ever been!"

Bless You, Bless You,
